Keeping Mentally & Emotionally Fit
In this blog, I would like to talk about keeping your mind, healthy and fit during times of stress, grief, and disruptions. Mental and emotional health during these times is vital. It would not be unheard of to feel depression, defeat, hopelessness. These are all genuine feelings that one should be feeling during this time as well as anger and sadness. But we also need to remember to recognize and celebrate the victories and the small accomplishments as well as the big ones that move us towards our goal of a healthy community and a healthy world.

Urban Foraging
This week’s blog I’m going to be exploring about urban forging and how to use it as a tool to supplement your food sources during hard times. Most people would be surprised at how much food is readily available to them for free wherever they live. It’s just a matter of knowing what to look for and how to harvest sustainably.

Seeds for Harvest
This week we will focus on methodologies for storing, conserving and acquiring food and seeds for long food disruptions. The content of this blog will be in generalizations, but there will also be a lot of specifics, always focus on your geographical region and the infrastructure you have in place within your community. Thiis not about panic. This is intended to be about preparation. Planning without going overboard. We are not planning for an apocalypse. Prepare with common sense and what you actually need and what you can resource to help others.

Preparing for Shortages
This week’s blog will cover preparing for a long period of food and resource shortages. The information is important for disaster preparedness as well as riding out an authoritarian disruption. Being ready for all manner of life crises is something we should all be planning for.

Non-participation
In this blog post, I would like to share some thoughts on non-participation in other nonviolent ways to engage with others that doesn’t put you at risk for retaliatory behavior. Chaos and disruption is designed to move you off your center to bring you away from your humanity and get you to act in ways that you wouldn’t normally act.. It’s important to remember in an authoritarian regime that that is baked into the design so that they can in fact get you to do the messy, ugly work for them while they take power and assets from you.

Protecting Assets
This week’s blog will do it’s best you give you a running understanding of how to protect your money and assets. Things to be aware of and ways to safe guard what you have. I will add some historical context in the ways authoritarian regimes try to coerce, influence and separate you from these.

Developing Strategies
For this first post I will be exploring strategies for navigating disruptions in supplies and services. Being well prepared can help ease a lot of the stresses that can come in a chaotic situation. My goal is to educate and inform with this blog and gather accurate, practical, and useful information.
