About the Artist

Artist Statement

My artistic practice is an inquiry into the patterns, structures, and forces that shape the natural world—from the vastness of geologic time to the intricacies of biological systems and the subatomic dance of particles. Drawing inspiration from physics, earth sciences, biology, and chemistry, I create work that reflects the deep intelligence embedded in both macrocosmic and microcosmic forms. Through painting, drawing, and sculpture, I explore how matter organizes itself, transforms, and communicates across scales, often using natural, organic, and reclaimed materials to embody these ideas materially and conceptually.

At the heart of my work is a fascination with the aesthetics of nature’s design—fractal geometry, waveforms, crystal lattices, cellular structures, and the elemental rhythms that echo across all living systems. These forms serve as metaphors for interconnectedness and the invisible forces that shape both the physical and human experience. My process involves observation, research, and an intuitive dialogue with materials that bridges scientific curiosity with artistic intuition.

In addition to fine art, I also create functional objects—handmade books, leatherwork, and symbolic jewelry—that carry an emphasis on form, purpose, and tactile engagement. These pieces extend my investigation into how meaning and material can coexist in objects that are both beautiful and utilitarian.

As an educator in art history, drawing, and sculpture, I guide students to explore the intersections of art, science, and culture. My teaching emphasizes art as a powerful method of inquiry—one that fosters awareness, reflection, and a deeper understanding of our place within the complexity of the natural world.

My ongoing practice is committed to evolving through research, creative experimentation, and interdisciplinary exploration. I aim to contribute to a visual language that bridges art and science—making visible the profound intelligence of the universe through material form.
